Award winning Crosscountry Series Grades 3 - 7
Crosscountry USA, Crosscountry USA Photo Safari, Crosscountry Canada, Crosscountry Canada Photo Safari and Crosscountry BC
The Crosscountry series was a favorite simulation program used in schools across North America for decades. The simulation turned geography into a real adventure where students drove an 18 wheel truck to collect and deliver commodities to over 200 cities. Students had to factor in health, efficient use of time, money and fuel to complete their missions. The program taught map reading, estimating, problem solving and economic, physical and political geography. Crosscountry Photo Safari had students drive a hybrid across North America taking photos while learning about endangered species. This program was correlated to the grade 3 science curriculum. Driving safely and staying healthy along the way was very important for a successful journey. Learning objectives included: Understanding animal habitats, adaptations, and behavior, as well as developed map reading skills and problem solving. |
